Attitude of Gratitude
If you are still struggling with getting things to work the way you want them to in your life try focusing on gratitude. When you start to think of what is lacking in your life give thanks for what you have no matter how great or how small. Give thanks for waking up this morning, give thanks for your health, your vision, for the sky, the trees, your life, just focus on the good in your life and it will multiply.
If you are struggling right now, it is probably the results of your past negative thought, worry, fear and anxiety are all feelings we get and in most cases soon pass. So why let something that is so fleeting, yet powerful take control of your life when you can simply focus on what you are grateful for?
Focusing on what you are grateful for simply makes getting through the day so much easier and much more pleasant and stress free. Imagine what kind of life you will create in the future from feeling this good today, I believe is it will be a peaceful, pleasant and stress-free life.
Less than two weeks into my “attitude of gratitude” phase and I have to confess I wish I had started being grateful a very, very long time ago. So I have decided to dedicate this month to the Attitude of Gratitude, I plan on acquiring all the information I can on the art of being grateful.
I am very lucky with the law of attraction. I see it working in my life everyday. I started to do my research on the attitude of gratitude and found an article called Gratitude by none other than Steve Pavlina, who is on his way to becoming one of my favorite personal-development teachers, what can I say the guy is just good, and thorough. If you are in anyway interested in the role of gratitude in personal development and life you should read that article. But I digress, I believe that an attitude of gratitude will help boost positive change in your life and help in many other areas of your everyday life. So far I have seen its benefits in the following areas of my life:
- Stress Management
- Peace of mind – which has nothing to stress, at least for me.
- Self-control
- Better sleep
- Reduction in bad habits
- Creation of new health habits
- Better visualization
- Meditation
- Focus
- Going to the gym – I am so grateful for my membership that I do the one thing I thought was never going to be possible: pay for gym membership and actually go to the gym.
I love hearing stories from those grateful people you see on Oprah and other talk shows, the people who live in one room apartments and are so grateful for it, that Oprah refurnishes their one room apartment to look like a mansion, or buy them a car, or they win a trip of a life time or even better get a deal with QVC. I look at them and say if they are grateful for that I have no excuses what so ever to be whining about my life. Hence, I immediately developed an attitude of gratitude and just within the small realm of my existence, I see magnificent changes.
PS
I am looking forward to what I find out this month of gratitude, but so far I really like being grateful, it is a very good place to be.
Cheers
