Note from the Author:
These series of blogs came about during a period when I knew I was changing, into what or whom I could not say when I started but this was one of the processes I went through when dealing with the change. Please enjoy and I hope it helps you find your way through this journey called life.

I found an 18 year old journal entry, yes, I was a child when I wrote it, but much to my dismay some of the entries seemed like something I could have written yesterday. I walked away too scared to admit the realization that I may still be the person I was when I made that journal entry. It took me four weeks of denial and trying to come up with some evidence to prove this realization wrong before I could look at those pages again.

Each week I seem to come up with a new theory on how face myself and face the true in the possibility that I had not changed in 18 years, or that I had changed and didn’t know into what. My journey was not to discover something earth shattering or new ways to split the atom, my journey was to find a way to soften to blow. I am sharing with you the results of my journey, in the hopes that if you are also on a quest to seek the truth about yourself or searching for proof that you have changed in some way, that this would help you on your journey.

The True Core Theory
You are born knowing who you are, so the person you are at your core remains the same. Experiences you have in your life build up on that core; these experiences either make your core stronger or weaker.

You really don’t have any control over what you are building around your core unless you became aware of who you are at the core early enough and choose to go against it or decided run away from who your whole being knows you should be. Perhaps those of us who choose a path early in life and stuck to it know who we are at the core and have built a gloriously life around it. But for those who choose to run, this decision leads to an unfulfilled life, you spend your life wondering: Who am I? Meanwhile the person you truly are is there in you, and you just have to take the journey back to discover this being.

The Multi-Dimensional Person Theory
You are a multi-dimensional person and living within you are all the people you have ever been. You have to remain constantly aware of the possibility that you could be anyone of those people at anytime. Perhaps the monster that wants to strike out when I get angry, or the child that cries instead of unleashing that fearsome creature, or the common sense that reminds you that there is a law that prohibits that kind of behavior and you back away from the situation all together. Yes, apparently they are all living within me and depending on whom I call on, that is the person I will be.

This makes sense right, not multiple personalities, but multiple selves within one being. I am all those people, happy, brilliant, hardworking, beautiful, and ugly, a child, a monster, and the law. But still something is missing WHO AM I? And if I am all these people why then do I seek change.

There is more to come in Can A Person Change? Part Two, thank you for stopping by.
