Note:
This is the third part of my three part series on Can A Person Change? This has been a very enlightening post for me, I hope it does the same for you. Please enjoy…
How do you “find your core”? How do you recognize it?
It is that voice in the back of your head telling you, “You are better than this,” telling you, “You know who you are and you know what to do.” You simply have to start listening to recognize and accept the words.
What does it mean to “Take the journey back to discover this being”?
Because we are all born knowing who we are the strength and fearlessness we felt as children is the reason for the journey back to regard that strength and fearlessness. We all spend time thinking in the back of our minds of who we were: Well go back and find that being, find that person, he or she is still in you.
Is the journey “back” or “forward”? or both?
The journey is both going back to remember your true spirit, who you come to earth to “being” and then bring that person and those attributes to your present. You go back to find and bring forward.
How will you know when you’ve changed?
Nothing from your past fits, you feel like you are living in someone else’s dream, someone else’s life. You know in your gut that you have changed, you just need to bring the rest of you into that realization.
How can you measure change?
By the amount of discomfort you feel. By the amount of joy you feel. And by the knowing, when things you would have let become issues in your life no longer become “okay” they are no longer become an option. When you can walk away unaffected from things that used to drag you through the mud, then you have a measure for change. You can measure change by the way you feel, it really is all about the emotion, if you feel good: it is good. If you feel bad it is bad.
Does change make you happy? Should it?
This change makes you happy, you are reconnecting with your true being, it has been said several time for ages and ages, happy (well-being) is our natural state and anything other than well-being is due to your resistance.
Besides your thoughts, what else enables change?
Everything that is was first a thought.
Buddha
Three Factors to Change
- Thought
- Action
- Vigilance
The thought is the start, it is the seed. What creates the change is your acting on those thoughts. Then follow that action with vigilance: focus, dedication and follow through until your goal is accomplish. So besides thought, action and vigilance are what you need to create change.
Please see a comment send to me by Jake Ewing on “Can a Person Change Part 2” a very powerful observation I believe will only make you stronger on your journey.
