Are You Even Trying to Be the Best That You Can Be

Posted on August 1, 2008

The object of all life is development and everything that lives has an inalienable right to achieve all it is capable of attaining.

You cannot be, no, you must not be content with a little when you have the power within you to be great: It is human nature. Have you even tried to do ALL that you can do? I always love to hear the intricacies of how successful people accomplish their goals. Success
Martha Stewart starts her day at 4am everyday, I go to sleep at 4am but you think, “but that is Martha”. Okay let me bring this closer to earth. I was just reading a Blog the other day that said that successful bloggers not only started out with multiple Blogs or websites but they do things like write 20 posts a day and work 70 hour weeks. What do I do when I hear information like this, well two things happen, one I know I am not even producing anywhere near what I need to be producing daily to be successful and two, I know what I need to do to be success.

We can look at nature and know that the goal of everything in it is to grow and become the best that it can be. Can we say the same for humans? We are part of nature, I guess looking at the world you couldn’t tell, but we are a product of nature, therefore, it is our inalienable right to achieve everything we are capable of achieving.

I was watching a show the other day it said, that the richest man in the world made $1.3 million an hour, think about it, in one hour! I did not hear this and wish I could be him, I thought, if one person can do this I am not operating to my fullest capacity.

I am not saying we should all think about making $1.3 million an hour, (but if one man can do, then we all can,) what I am saying is that it is time for all of us to set the bar higher for ourselves. Why can’t we all be the best that we can be in whatever endeavors we choose to accomplish? As part of nature, personal growth is our main function not passing time, making due or just getting by.

Grade your performance with someone in your respective field. You can pretty much get all the information you need about how these successful people accomplish their goals online. I am sure that there is a very good chance these successful people have or someone else has written a book about it.

Ask yourself the question: When compared to this person, am I even trying? I am not saying you have to become this person but you now know what they did to succeed so if you are only doing a fraction of a percent of what they are doing then you understand why you are getting the results you are getting.

The point I am trying to make is this, we tend to wonder why we seem to be doing and doing and not accomplishing anything. The real question is, are you doing the right things? Moreover, are you doing them effectively? Find out what you need to do to become successful in your field and you have an outline (scheduled stops) for the roadmap of your life.

The purpose of nature is the advancement and development of life and every man should have all that can contribute to the power, elegance, beauty and riches of life to be content with less.
