You have the right to be rich – The Science of Getting Rich Workbook - Chapter One - Part Two
To find balance in your life you must nurture your mind, body and soul – The Three Motives. This post is about taking the first steps to find balance.

“We live for these three motives. We live for the body, we live for the mind, and we live for the soul. No one of these is better than the other, all are alike and desirable, and no one of the three: body, mind, or soul can live fully without nurturing these three motives.
Your body needs good food, comfortable clothing, and warm shelter and freedom from excessive labor. Rest and recreation are also necessary to physical life.
You cannot live fully in mind without books and time to study them, without opportunity for travel and observation, or without intellectual companionship. To live fully in mind you must have intellectual recreations, and must surround yourself with all the objects of art and beauty you are capable of using and appreciating.”
• You find yourself walking through life feeling a little unbalance, something just doesn’t seem right. Today you feel great, tomorrow something else. Today you workout and tomorrow you are sick as a dog. How many of us take the time to nurture our mind, body and soul. I can’t even make time to take five minutes away to meditate and strangely enough when I do I feel great. Perhaps that lack of balance is us not nurturing the mind, body and soul everyday. We all know we complain about exercise something we all know we need. Then there is food… Need I say more?
• We should treat our mind, body and soul as one whole as opposed to three parts because you an easily forget to do one of the three. Start a guiding principle to nurture the mind, body and soul as one daily, like all new habits it will take hold eventually.
• Let everything worthwhile, it takes time but you need to develop a plan to treat the three motives (mind, body and soul) as one. Then add to your daily routine something that nurtures all three.
• My initial plan is this: try to workout 30 minutes a day, stop eating after 6:00pm, as I am a stress eater, I have that issue to deal with. Let’s not forget reduce stress, I need to come up this a five step stress reduction plan that I can implement anywhere. (I will share it with you as soon as I come up with one.) Meditate five minutes a day.
• I call it my initial plan because it is a starting point, five-minute meditation, if done consistently will grow to 7 minutes in less than a week. A daily 30-minute workout will grow to a 45-minute workout in less than a month. Remember from the first part of this chapter – the purpose of nature is advancement. Your body, mind and soul is predisposed to want to be better regardless of how little effort you put into it.
