After a year away, far, far away, I find myself back to what I am proud to call my “True Calling”. Oh! The things I am going to tell you about finding your true calling, finding your true life’s goals, getting a purpose in life, living eternally valiant and FOLLOWING THROUGH on everything you set your mind to.
During my time in far, far away land, I have learned and relearned a whole lot, I have grown, matured, experienced and I am ready to share, Why? If we were not meant to share like this, the internet and Blogs would never have been created, right?
I am in the process of ending another chapter in my life and coming into a newer happier state of being, so “Change” is going to be a big theme this month, so will finding your true self because I have finally figure it out it all starts with KNOW THYSELF.
Cheers,
PS
I would say welcome back but I am the one who has been away.

It isn’t for the moment you are struck that you need courage, but for the long uphill climb back to sanity and faith and security.
Anne Marrow Lindbergh, 1906-2001 American pilot, poet and writer
Anyone that has ever been struck by anything, another person or life, you know that picking yourself up and getting back on track, getting on your feet is where you need all the courage you can find. It is with courage that you are able to keep the faith and that is eighty percent of what you need to get back on your feet.
Keep sane,

The forgiving state of mind is a magnetic power for attracting good.
Catherine Ponder
The law of forgiveness is the most powerful and important universal law, it states that: in order to make your life better you must begin by forgiving everyone, everything, every experience and every memory in your life that needs forgiveness.
Why? There are two reasons why you must forgive: first if you want to be forgiven you have to forgive and second, if you harbor any ill will, anger, regret or hate towards anybody you are preventing anything good and lasting from entering your life. Negativity of any kind clouds your mind, preventing it from creating the good that you deserve in you life and does serious damage to your health. Continue Reading »

The man who does things makes mistakes, but he never makes the biggest mistake of all – doing nothing.
Benjamin Franklin
No one should ever look back on their lives and wish they had done something more, you can always look back and wish you did things differently but to do something more, leave a mark, make a difference. Don’t be a spectator in your life the only person that will regret doing nothing is you.

Lyrics to My Favorite Self-Help Song: Everybody’s Free (to wear sunscreen)
I love this song so much, I must have listened to it a thousand times. A cautionary note for impressionable minds: be careful of self-fulfilling prophecies, because if you believe some of what is said here, like everything else in life, you might just invite something you did not want into your life. Still the advice is solid and everyone is free to wear sunscreen.
He also gives a disclaimer at the end of the song, which I absolutely love. The lyrics are just as much fun to read. Please without further ado I present: Everybody’s Free (to wear sunscreen) by Quindon Tarver or Baz Luhrmann Lyrics depending of the CD you get…
The Sunscreen Song – Everybody’s Free (To Wear Sunscreen)
“Ladies and Gentlemen of the class of ‘99, Wear Sunscreen. If I could offer you only one tip for the future, sunscreen would be it. The long term benefits of sunscreen have been proved by scientists whereas the rest of my advice has no basis more reliable than my own meandering experience.
I will dispense this advice now.
Enjoy the power and beauty of your youth. Never mind. You will not understand the power and beauty of your youth until they have faded. But trust me, in 20 years you’ll look back at photos of yourself and recall in a way you can’t grasp now how much possibility lay before you and how fabulous you really looked. Continue Reading »

“I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer. Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration. I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over me and through me. And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path. Where the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.”
-Frank Herbert, Dune, “Litany Against Fear”, 1965
I love this quote, I did not read the book but I watched both movies and this quote resonates with me because I understand what you can lose living in fear. Once you face your fear you do find the only thing that remains standing is you, that which you fear is never as great as you expect it to be.
Everyday I conquer a fear, this year I have decided to face everything I fear the moment it shows itself. This has actually helped me deal with having to worry so much all the time.
Before I did conquer my fear of fear, I used to repeat a line from one of my favorite songs, Everybody’s Free (to wear sunscreen) by Quindon Tarver/Baz Luhrmann depending on which CD you have: “Don’t worry about the future; or worry, but know that worrying is as effective as trying to solve an algebra equation by chewing bubblegum. How fun is that for years I always reminded myself of that line whenever I needed to be reminded of the futility of worrying.”
That’s it, just a little something I thought I should share.
Cheers
