Why do these things happen to me?

Sometimes things seem so bad you can’t help but constantly repeat the “Why me?” program in your head or out loud in some cases.  Why me?  Why you?  Does it matter?  All that matters is that it is happening now and it needs to be taken care of.  Don’t wallow in self pity, you will only be feeding that destructive alter ego residing in your mind.  If you keep thinking “Why me?” you will only get more upset and plunge deeper into self pity.

Instead focus on what needs to be done to get out of this mood.  Don’t be a victim, hardship is part of life, sometimes things are good and sometimes they are not.  There is nothing in life that you can’t fix or learn to live with or without.  Just make sure you are not feeding the negative emotions that hamper your progress with your "Why Me?" thoughts.

Do something

Stop listening to the “Why Me” program in your head it sometimes does the most damage.  Find a positive affirmation and repeat it until the low mood passes.  Do something positive, read spiritual literature (Florence Scovel-Sinn’s book The Game of Life, is my personal life saver.)  Then get yourself an action plan.  I hope you feel better soon.
