How do I take control of my day?

Do you start your day in chaos and end your day the same way?  Then you must be a nervous wreck by the end of the day.  You need to develop a personal routine.  I am not asking you to do anything that will completely disrupt your life.  Your personal routine can be anything from starting your day with an affirmation or prayer.  You can start your day with mediation and visualization.  You can gain more control of the day by mentally creating your day before you get out of bed in the morning.  Be warned however, if you are anything like me make sure your alarm is set to snooze every five minutes or you will be late to work.

If you want to lose weight or start a healthier lifestyle you can start your day with a healthy breakfast and 30 minutes of exercise.  During the day you can take a break to do some deep breathing or short five minute meditation.

At night, take a hot bath, write in your journal, and make sure to plan out your next day.  You can start with small changes to your day, in time you will start to notice the big changes in your life.  Taking control of your day means you have follow your daily routines.

Your personal routine can be anything but most importantly it must be something that brings you into the present moment, where you find peace and a sense of accomplishment knowing you have done something for yourself.

Do Something:

List a minimum of four things you can do throughout your day to create a personal routine.  List the times of the day you need to do these things.  You must have a morning routine, a routine to help during the day and one before going to bed.
