I don’t know where my life
is going?
One day you feel great and
on top of the world. You know exactly what to do, when to do it and
how. Then you wake up the next day and you are confused. You don’t
have a clue where to start. Panic sets in and you get into a reactive
mode. You can’t decide what to do with the things life throws at you.
Believe me when you are feeling uncertain, that is when everything that
can happen, good or bad, feels like they are being hurled at you.
Take a step back, find a
quite place to think for a few minutes. You are probably in the
state between two plans I call The Gap. It is the point when you
have completed one set of plans but you have yet to pinpoint exactly
what your next course of action will be.
When in the gap, you
become stress, confused and unsure about yourself and the validity of
your plans. But this is a good thing, the gap period means you are
graduating to the next step (it means progress). You just need to
take time out to figure out what your next step should be.
Do something
Make a list of all you the
things you plan to do. What is the most important thing you have
to do. Pick the one thing that will take care of 80% of your
needs. Create a monthly, weekly and daily action plan to
accomplish your one big goal. Now, life will keep
hurling stuff at you, but you need to focus on the important tasks you
have at hand right now.
